Saturday was a split for the Xtreme girls….Beating the Magic 1-0 in the morning, but turned around and lost to the Raptors in the afternoon. Not sure how many goals the one girl scored, but I know we scored one!
We will Practice this week 5:00-6:30…but no game this Saturday. We will have a game next TUES at 6pm at Lake Country. We will then take Wed the 15th OFF as we do not have a game that weekend. NOTE: just noticed that we play the Raptors 3x and the Knights only once….I have requested that we play the Knights twice like we are supposed to. I will update you as soon as I find something out.
Please make sure the girls are on time (which mean 5-10 minutes prior practice and 30 minutes prior to game time) and they come prepared with water, ball and gear. Some of the girls have been coming ill prepared and we certainly don’t want any injuries! Please also tell your daughter that if they are running late, that they should RUN ….not saunter. They should be getting into action as soon as possible and casually walking only delays warm ups. See you Wednesday!!

A reminder that we will have practice this Wed at our normal time….5:00-6:30 at Ozark. We have a double header next weekend….11:30 and 2:30. Please make sure your girls are taking care of themselves….there is a lot of sickness going on these days!! See you WED!!

FYI…if the weather ever looks “iffy” for our games, please call Lake Country at 862-3211 for their “weather hotline” or visit their web site at www.lakecountrysoccer.org. It will be posted on the front web page if their are any cancellations. If there is nothing posted, then you should assume that all games are on. See you Wed at practice….have a nice weekend off!!

YEAH….what a great way to start off the season!! 8-0 victory over JB Marine. Let’s keep that momentum going!!! Practice on Wednesday will be from 5:30 -7:00. Tom has a game at Parkview that night, and Evan can’t make it until 5:30….so we will push it back 1/2 hour. I think this should be the only Wed we need to do this…but don’t hold me to it….schedules change at the last minute sometimes!! One thing I need to mention is that the girls seem to “walz” into practice. They need to arrive BEFORE the designated practice time…so they are ready to go by start time. IF the girls are late (which I know happens!) please tell them that they need to run their hiney in. Taking your time getting to the practice area is not an option…they need to run. (this applies to game time as well…1/2 hour before game time…ready to go) It’s very frustrating to the coaches when they only have 1.5 practice hours with the girls and 15 minutes is spent on waiting for everyone to arrive. I’m sure you can appreciate the coaches requests!! See you Wed!!

Practice for this coming week will be WEDNESDAY ONLY (5:00-6:30) due to the Holiday Weekend. The following week we will practice twice….once will be Wed for sure…the other will be a weekday ( I will let you know as soon as I know something!!) We will need to get the girls ready for their first game on Sept 6th (no schedules yet) Everyone needs to make a very special effort to attend practices. For some reason, some of the girls have not been there…..and we’re not sure why. If the coaches are going to take the time to make it a priority, then so do the parents/girls. We will only succeed if we practice as a TEAM!!!
On another note, we just heard that Maycie Palmer has been in the hospital for dehydration…keep her in your prayers. It can’t be comfortable or fun to be cooped up in a hospital room. GET WELL SOON, MAYCIE!!!

This week we will not be able to have practice on Wed due to both coaches having to attend a COC Soccer Meeting. We will however have practice on Thurs at Ozark H. S. from 5:00-6:30 AND Saturday at Nixa Jr. High from 10:00-11:30. Check back frequently for changes…..otherwise, see you then!!

At practice last week, we decided that we will practice on Wed from 5:00-6:30 at Ozark H. S. and on Saturday morning from 10:00-11:30 at Nixa Jr. High. (corner of Main and North). HOWEVER….we will NOT practice this WEDNESDAY due to Ozark schools starting on Thursday. We will have practice on Saturday. For the new girls, we will need to get sizes for uniforms. For returning players, you will need to let me know if your daughter needs a new uniform top (too small, worn out etc…). Once games begin….we MAY change practice nights to MONDAY’s so those who attend church on Wed may do so without interruption….there are several of you. The most likely night will be Monday night. If you have not yet paid your $75.00 please do so this Saturday. Make checks payable to XTREME SOCCER and give to Krista. See you Saturday!!

We will have practice on Thursday (Aug 7th) this week at the Oz H. S. from 5:00-6:30. In the mean time, I will also need money for league fee’s. Cost is $75 per player. Please make it out to XTREME SOCCER. We will also discuss practice times, so if you have a busy schedule and want to put your two cents in…maybe you could come and give it!! More than likely, we will have practices on Mon/Wed 5:00 or 5:30.…With our coaches schedules, this is the best nights for them as they have fewer H.S. games on these nights. See you Wed. Make sure you welcome new additions to the team…Colleen and Lily!!
PRACTICES BEGIN THIS WEEK…..Coach Tom and Coach Evan will hold practice this Tues, July 29 from 5:30-7:00. For those girls playing in the 3 v 3 this weekend, this will be a great opportunity to practice on the lined fields. Practice is at the Ozark H.S. grass fields. OPEN PLAY/TRYOUTS SCHEDULED FOR WED JULY 16 & WED JULY 23 from 7:00-8:30 at the Ozark High School Soccer Fields. All current players are expected to be there. (if you can’t make it, please e-mail me and let me know). Coach Tom Davidson will be taking over the team this Fall, and he would love to get to know you all better!! We have new girls trying out for the team and it is important that they see all the lovely faces of our awesome team!! We already know that Lily Axtel will be joining our team, and that Hannah Leimkuhler will be moving back to K.C. We will miss you Hannah…keep in touch!! See you Wednesday!!
WEDNESDAY MAY 7TH, 2008 PRACTICE HAS BEEN CANCELED FOR TONIGHT. WE HAVE A GAME SATURDAY AT 10:00AM AGAINST THE NIXA/CRUMP TEAM. LET’S MAKE IT COUNT!! APRIL 27, 2008 Our re-match against Magic on Thursday was a great chance for Xtreme to prove themselves! We came out victorious 2-1. The girls fought hard and are playing more and more like a team every day!! Saturday we played the Puma’s where we would have to settle for a tie game at 2-2. Our next game is scheduled for 5:30 on Saturday May 3rd. See you at practice on Wednesday at upper!! APRIL 20, 2008 The U9 team too a hard loss to the Magic on Saturday. We have a re-match against them on THURSDAY NIGHT @ 7:00pm (field 6B). We also have our re-scheduled match on FRIDAY NIGHT at 7:00 (field 5B) and our SATURDAY game is at 10:00am (field 6B). This is 3 games in 3 days…so we will NOT have practice this Wednesday…..you’ll have enough on your plate. We are asking that you bring your daughter to Thursday’s game no later than 6:00pm so that we can have a mini practice, refresher before the game. We’ll meet at field 6B and move off to the side for warm ups!!! See you THURSDAY!! APRIL 13, 2008 Congratulations to the U9 team for a very successful beginning to their Spring Season. A 7-0 Victory (or so the scoreboard read…I think it was one or two more, but that’s not the point!!) Great teamwork was displayed and the best part (besides the WIN) was that we got to play on the indoor field since it was so cold outside. Hopefully that gave some of you girls who didn’t play indoor this past session a feel for how FUN it is to play indoor….maybe you will next year!! Congrats, ladies….see you Wednesday at practice. NOTE: The game that was scheduled for April 19th at 8:00am vs the Hornets is now being played on April 25 at 7:00pm…this is NEXT FRIDAY NIGHT (not this coming Friday).
