U15/U16 Tournament team to compete in Harrison on Sunday

October 5, 2009

Girls who have been selected to participate on the tournament team will be heading to Harrison AR for two friendly games.  One against Harrison and the other against NWL Arkansas.  Times have not been given yet.  I will update all those tournament team players with times and directions.  I have a few girls who need rides.  If anyone has extra space in their vehicle, please let me know so that we can be sure they get down there.  Harrison is approximately 1 hour south of Ozark (Hwy 14 and Hwy65 interchange).  I will make sure everyone has directions as well.  GOOD LUCK LADIES!!!

The following weekend we will be participating in the Lake Country tournament.  Those girls on the tournament team will be playing 4 games starting on Saturday afternoon.  For full schedule details, go to www.lakecountrysoccer.org and click on the tournament link.  We are under the U15/U16 girls category.  GO XTREME!!!

While the tournament team is away playing, the developmental team will continue to practice on Sunday’s.  Coach Hoffman has arranged a replacement for him so that those girls do not miss out on the opportunity to train.  We are looking for another friendly for this team to participate in.  It will be sometime late Oct.  I will keep you informed on those details.

Great things are going on with XTREME.  Right now we have 29 U15/U16 girls signed up to play.  This includes our developmental program as well as our tournament team.

Reminder….we will have Xtreme practice from 6:00-7:30 Thursday at the Ozark grass fields.  Then again on Sunday from 4:00-6:00.

NOW….if you have not been to a practice or the parent meeting and have not contacted me about trainings, I will be deleting you off of my contact list next week.  I feel like I have done everything I can to make sure you have the information necessary to be informed and attend a practice or call/e-mail me….it will now be up to you.  We would LOVE for everyone on this list to participate.  If you have questions about what it is that we are doing…please call me.  My numbers are below.

See you all Thursday…I know for some of you…it will be a long day, but Logan is back from his coaching clinic and is excited to see all the girls!!

Xtreme getting ready to kick it back into gear for Fall 09

August 8, 2009

All girls and at least one parent in grades 8th and older will have a mandatory meeting on Sunday, August 9th at 3:00pm at the Ozark High School Turf field (in the stands).  We are ready to hand out schedules, fill out paperwork and collect money.  We will only be collecting the first months dues…which will be $25.00.  From there, we will see how many girls we have and can adjust the 2nd and 3rd months payments accordingly.  If you have never been registered with MYSA (Missouri Youth Soccer Association) you will need to bring a photo copy of your daughter’s birth certificate.  I will have all the paperwork you need.  The girls will be practicing from 3:00-4:30 on Sunday while we are meeting.  Coach Hoffman and I will be getting the practice schedules ready for the meeting as well as a few dates for tournaments and hopefully some friendly games.  If you are a dual sport athlete, and are playing in a High School sport this fall, please bring a copy of your schedule on Sunday so that we can try to work around those sports when finding tournaments to attend.  Not all girls will be attending tournaments, but we’d still like to have everyone’s information.

If you can not make it to the meeting/practice or you have questions regarding our soccer program, you will need to contact me by phone (no texts and no e-mails) at 582-1107.  It  is very important that you attend this meeting if you intend on playing this Fall.

See you next Sunday!!

Xciting News on the Horizon for Xtreme!!

June 2, 2009

By now, most of you know that Xtreme will be changing gears just a bit.  As well as inviting back all our former Xtreme players, we are also going to be expanding into the U16/U17 age ranges.  For those returning with Maroon uniforms, this means more internal competition and excellent opportunities to grow in our tournament play.  There is also the possibility to add an additional U14 team and a U12 team.  Things just keep getting better and better for Xtreme.

There are no formal tryouts.  We have always prided ourselves on being a club for everyone….from the step above Rec player to the competitive player.  We will always do our best to make sure each girl is playing on the correct team/level.

If you need additional information on Xtreme and the openings and age groups that we have available, please contact Missy at XtremeGraphics@cebridge.net for more information.  There is no better time to be and Xtreme Player!!

Xtreme end season in tie….comes out of indoor with 2nd place.

March 29, 2009

Xtreme had a hard fought game Saturday with only two subs.  Xtreme came back from a 1-3 deficit to tie the game up 4-4.  This game was for the 1st place title…but with a tie, it came down to previous games, and we had another tie earlier this season–which gave us 2nd place.  Well done ladies!!! Jen tells me it was a battle the 2nd 1/2 and the girls played their guts out!

Practice this week is SUNDAY at the Ozark turf, Wednesday at Ozark (don’t know location yet) and Bentonville this weekend.  We will have the schedule and itinerary for everyone at Wed’s practice……see you Sunday!

Xtreme struggles to find footing during tournament…

March 8, 2009

We’ll chalk this weekend up to good experience and a learning lesson!!  We started off well, and just couldn’t find our niche as the weekend progressed.    This is why we continue to do tournaments, as they provide us with more competition than we get during league play and continue to test our players will and determination.  No need to be disappointed….everyone did great things, just maybe not all at the same time!!    We’ll be more prepared for Bentonville in April.

We will NOT have practice this Wed nor will we practice next Sunday.  We will plan to do this:  Practice Wednesdays as a club team to keep the chemistry, then two weeks prior to any tournament we are in, we will practice twice a week.  Wednesday’s will be a consistent day of the week…..5:00-6:30.  We’ll see how schedules match up for the practices prior to Bentonville.

Neither Jen nor Kelsy will be able to make it to Bentonville, as they have games that weekend for Drury.  Jen has suggested Logan Hoffman, a graduating Sr. Drury Men’s player who has an enormous amount of experience coaching and may have the ability to travel as he has finished his playing career at Drury.  He is a wonderful person and extremely organized and focused.  I’d like some feedback before I ask him….if you could e-mail me with yea or nea…thoughts and opinions that would be great.  Jen, Steve and I discussed it after the game today and Steve said it would be great to have him if Logan were up to it.  Obviously, he would need to start practicing with us prior to the tournament, but he will already know the Ozark girls as he is the varsity middle school coach, and will have had the opportunity to get to know those girls.  It will be easier for him to learn 1/2 a team than a whole team in a two week time span.  With the assistance of Steve who is more familiar with the girls and Logan’s extensive knowledge, it would be a great situation….IF Logan was available.  I’d like feedback (honest please!!) about it so I can give him plenty of notice if we choose to ask him!!

We are going to extend the sponsorship opportunities for a unspecified time….I’d rather see you able to bring in more money than I would make sure the shirts come out.  This will allow a few more weeks to gather some sponsors.  It’s certainly working for some…we have had several girls turn in money and they have done a great job!!  Someone out there is still able to donate!!  PLEASE PLEASE…if you can, go find a few sponsors.  It will make your life so much more stress free when it comes time to pay your hotel bills!!!!!  REMEMBER if you own a business, and you don’t want to go out looking for sponsors, then put some money into your own daughters account (it all goes right back to you)…AND you get your name on the sponsor list.

I’m hoping that I can get some photo’s posted here soon.  I’m still not a wiz at this web site thing!!  Payton’s Papa said he took some, so hopefully I can figure it out and get them hooked up here on the site!!

See you all Wednesday, March 18th for practice.  From there we will practice Sun/Wed unless you hear differently via e-mail…

XTREME shows up late for Monday night game….

Monday, March 2, 2009

Xtreme girls took a little too much time warming up for their game Monday night against total.   Once the second 1/2 came, there was not much comparison in the two teams..but they were ready for the game, while we may have taken it for granted…..Game ended in a tie 5-5.  Practice is Wed (outdoor field in Ozark) from 4:00-6:00 (for daylights sake!!) in prep for tourney this weekend!!  Make sure the girls are getting plenty of rest for the weekend–and staying healthy!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO COACH JEN!!!

February 6th 2009

A HUGE Congratulations shout out to Coach Jen.  She has been offered and has accepted the head women’s coaching position at Westminster College.  We knew we had a GEM of a coach….and now Westminster will!!  She will start with part time duties traveling back and forth between here and Fulton (I’m pretty sure that’s where Westminster is) and after she is finished up with her Masters this summer, she will assume her full time duties.  Congrat Jen, we’re VERY happy for you.  (very sad for us…happy for you!!)  You can visit the college’s athletic web site at:

February 2, 2009

Total was no match for our girls tonight.  Final score 14-6.  The girls played GREAT and Jen and Steve did a good job of mixing things up to keep the score under control….it could have been worse!!  Have to say….pretty funny to see Morgan in the penalty box.

Practice on Sunday…12:30 – 2:00 at Ozark High School.  Great job again ….GO XTREME

GREAT COMEBACK FOR XTREME

January 31, 2009

We think our XTREME girls may have been abducted by aliens for the first 1/2 of the Xtreme VS SSC game this afternoon….but when the second 1/2 came, I don’t think SSC knew what hit them!  The girls were on fire and NOT going to lose!!  Congrats to the girls for coming back and snatching up the victory and especially Lexi who had a fantastic game defending the goal (and aquiring a few bumps and bruises to prove her efforts!!)  Let’s make sure that OUR girls show up for the whole game on Monday night!!

No practice Sunday….game on Monday night at 6:30…vs Total.  See you then!

1st Victory Comes Easy for Xtreme….

January 19, 2009

Our first game  was a great way to start off the indoor season.  Embarrassingly, the score was 18-4.  Without our fearless leader, Jen, and her sidekick, Steve, on the sidelines… Marci and Missy had to find the internal fortitude to fill in.  Can’t say we didn’t have fun over there..huh, Marci?  We did everything we could think of to hold down the score (besides tell the girls no more scoring).  We put in Marie, Brittany, Rachel, Payton, and Morgan in the goal the second 1/2.  Put our defense in the offense and offense in the defense…then took a player off the field and played a man down.  Anyway, we had a great time watching the girls do some great things…especially those girls who have never played indoor before!!  Next practice is Sunday 25th 12:30-2:00 at Ozark High School….with our next game on the 31st.

On a side note, we’d like to congratulate Steve and Danielle on their engagement and upcoming wedding!!  We wish you loads of happiness!!

Morgan is a demonstrator for a Tony DiCicco Clinic a the National Coaches Convention

January 15, 2009

Morgan had the opportunity of a life time to work with Tony Dicicco (if you don’t know who he is…look him up!!).  She was with a group of St. Louis JB Marine girls, but fit right in quickly!  Tony talked to her a lot during warm ups.  It was a great experience for Morgan, Tom and Myself.  She had lot’s of onlooking fans…Jeff Roger (glendale) Mike Hines and Phil Hodge (Kickapoo) and the Ozark staff.
